The Rules of Admission to  Odessa I.I. Mechnikov National University

2023-2024 Academic Year

Odessa I.I. Mechnikov National University admits foreigners and stateless persons who reside in Ukraine on legal grounds, have required level of education, appropriate language of instruction skills and a personal wish to receive higher education.

2. A copy of the national Passport

3. An original and a copy of a Secondary Education Document

A Secondary Education Document must be notarized, legalized (apostilled) and translated into Ukrainian language.

4. An original and a copy of a Transcript of Academic Records (obtained grades) (it’s an application to the secondary education document)

A Transcript of Academic Records (obtained grades) must be notarized, legalized (apostilled) and translated into Ukrainian language.

5. An original and a copy of Birth Certificate

 

A Birth Certificate must be translated into Ukrainian language. The translation must be notarized.

6. A Medical Health Certificate

A Medical Health Certificate, certified by the official health authority of the country from which the foreigner arrived, issued not later than two months before departure to study in Ukraine. It must be translated into Ukrainian language. The translation must be notarized.

7. A Valid Insurance Policy for emergency medical care which covers the costs of treating COVID-19 for the entire period of study

8. 6 photos sized 6,0x4,0 sm;

9. A copy of a Foreign Ukrainian Certificate

If it’s present

Persons crossing the Ukrainian state border and arriving from the states or are citizens of states with a high prevalence of COVID-19 have to keep the self-isolation for 14 days

Self-isolation is terminated in case of a negative test result on COVID-19 by polymerase chain reaction, which is held out after crossing the state border at his own expense or no later than 48 hours before the crossing of the border.
To monitor the self-isolation, the electronic service "Action at home" (controlled by the National Police of Ukraine) is used, which must be installed on a mobile phone when crossing the border and the conditions of which must be strictly keeped.

4. An original and a copy of a Transcript of Academic Records (obtained grades) (it’s an application to the Specialist (Master) Diploma) A Transcript of Academic Records (obtained grades) must be notarized, legalized (apostilled) and translated into Ukrainian language.
5. Protocol of an interview with the future scientific adviser
6. Summary The summary must be not less than 30 pages. A scientific adviser’s review with an academic record must be added.
7. A list of the scientific works (inventions) which were published and their copies.


DOCTOR of SCIENCE

7. A Thematic Plan of a dissertation
8. A list of the scientific works (inventions) which were published and their copies.

 

Rules of Entry and Residence in Ukraine

International students in Ukraine should receive long-stay visa type «D-13» (purpose of the trip: Educational programs/training), unless otherwise provided by the legislation of Ukraine.

Foreigners who have arrived in Ukraine with the purpose of Educational programs/training should receive Temporary residence permit in Ukraine.

Registration for Temporary residence permit in Ukraine

 

To obtain a Temporary residence permit in Ukraine within three days upon arrival in Ukraine foreigners must submit such documents to Mayakovsky, 7 room.5:

  1. A national Passport with long-stay visa type «D-13» (purpose of the trip: Educational programs/training), unless otherwise provided by the legislation of Ukraine or stipulated by international treaties of Ukraine and the copies of the national Passport pages containing personal information and visa
  2. A notarized Ukrainian translation of the national Passport pages containing personal information
  3. A receipt of state fee payment
  4. 2 matte paper photos sized 3,5x4,5 sm
  5. An insurance policy for emergency medical care for the entire period of study
  6. A document of residence (certificate from the hostel ONU or notarized agreement of an individual to register the place of residence of the foreigner)

Odessa I.I. Mechnikov National University is not responsible for students health care. Medical service of foreign students is carried out on the basis of an insurance policy for emergency medical care that they should have within the whole period of studying at the university.
